Booking

Prices (NB: All now quoted in EURO since 1st January 2009)

During the busiest periods of summer, we run a Sunday transfer system, whereby all holidays with King of the Mountains run from Sunday to Sunday. During most other periods of the year, we are able to be more flexible, both in terms of arrival date, departure date and length of your stay.

All prices quoted are per person, per week, half-board, based on 2 people sharing a twin room.

If your stay is more or less than a week in duration, we calculate your holiday cost on a pro-rata basis.

 

Prices include

• Accommodation in the King of the Mountains chalet
• Breakfast every morning
• 'Afternoon tea' every day - this includes pasta salads, home made cake, tea, squash etc.
• Dinner; comprising 3 courses with unlimited wine (for stays of one week or longer, staff do take one night off, when dinner is not provided in the chalet. On this night, arrangements can be made on your behalf for dinner elsewhere locally).
• All bed linen
• All towels

 

Single Room Supplement

We do not offer the possibility of reserving rooms for single occupancy. However, if booking patterns result in sole occupancy of a twin room, no supplement will be charged.

Other Costs

Transfers (please see travel page)

• Transfers from Grenoble airport will be charged at €75.00 per person. i.e. Pick up and return (2 trips).
• Transfers from Lyon airport will be charged at €100.00 per person. i.e. Pick up and return (2 trips).

Packed lunches

• These will be charged at €5.00 per person per day.

 

Please note that packed lunches do not need to be pre-paid, this can be settled during your stay.

You will be liable to settle any other costs from third party suppliers such as costs for entry into cyclosportives, participation in other organised sporting activities, cycle hire, etc.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Deposits/Provisional bookings

King of the Mountains will hold provisional bookings for 3 days, after which dates will be released again.

A deposit of €100.00 per person is payable on booking. Once this deposit has been received, we will send you email confirmation of your holiday, including a statement of final balance. Remaining balances must be settled at least eight weeks before your departure date (there is one exception to this: balances for the week commencing 27th June must be settled 16 weeks before your departure date)..

 

Conditions of booking

• Balance of payment must reach us at least eight weeks before your departure date. If we do not receive the balance by this date, King of the Mountains reserves the right to treat your booking as cancelled and apply a cancellation fee.
• Cancellations must be made in writing to King of the Mountains. Cancellation charges may be made as a percentage of your total holiday cost: 8 weeks = deposit, 8-6 weeks = 40%, 6-2 weeks = 60%, Less than 2 weeks = 80%
• Changes to bookings will be accommodated if at all possible, if it is not possible to do so then King of the Mountains reserves the right to treat your booking as cancelled and apply a cancellation fee.
• Responsibility for all sports and activities undertaken during a King of the Mountains holiday is entirely at your own risk, King of the Mountains can not accept responsibility for injury caused during your holiday or loss or damage of personal property.
• Travel in the King of the Mountains vehicle is entirely at your own risk.
• Guests staying with King of the Mountains should be aware that we may publish their name and/or image in blog posts or on our website.
• A contract exists between King of the Mountains and you the holidaymaker/s when your deposit payment has been processed and you have received email confirmation of its' receipt.
