Experience some of the best riding in the French Alps with King of the Mountains, cycling-specific chalet.
The Tour de France will be in our area once again in 2012, on the 12th and 13th July. The stage to La Toussuire looks particularly interesting, with the possibility of linking up the col de la Madelaine, col du Glandon and the final brutal climb to the ski resort itself. A quick ride up the col de la Croix de Fer will allow access by bike directly from the chalet.

A wealth of spectacular riding is accessible from our chalet including legendary climbs and cols of the Tour de France such as Alpe d'Huez, the Col du Galibier, the Col du Glandon and many more. We are always happy to suggest routes and itineraries using our strong local knowledge and provide riders with detailed route maps and advice.Further Info
During your holiday with King of the Mountains you can take advantage of our central location to participate in the numerous cyclosportive events that take place in the area; we are particularly well placed for the Marmotte, one of the toughest European sportives on the calendar. Further Info
There are a number of other ways to enjoy the mountains in the area too Other Activities . We are located on the edge of the Ecrins National Park, where there is an abundance of beautiful walks to be explored as well as climbing and mountaineering. Fishing, paragliding, mountain biking, white water rafting and summer skiing/snowboarding are just a few of the other activities available to you during your holiday.

Our peaceful chalet, a former primary school, is set in a beautiful, rural village. It is comfortably furnished and decorated and offers the perfect homely environment to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Further Info
All rooms have stunning mountain views, and the tranquil garden allows you to enjoy every last bit of the days' sunshine.
We provide fully catered accommodation. Each day starts with a hearty breakfast, followed by post-ride pasta salads and home-made cakes in the afternoon, and in the evening a delicious home-cooked, 3-course meal with wine and/or beer included. We take a pride in all of our cooking and prepare varied and well-balanced meals using the freshest and best ingredients available to us.
